At Dori, the bond, we work with handwoven silk and khadi cotton, natural dyes, ecoprinting and Shibori to create textiles that carry the marks of the hands and the natural materials that made them. Leaves, flowers and plant colours become part of the cloth, making every piece subtly different and impossible to reproduce exactly.

From the Studio
After leaving my professional career, I began working more deeply with handloom textiles, natural dyes and ecoprinting. Dori started as a small home-based brand in Santiniketan, growing slowly through experimentation, self-learning and hands-on work. In my studio, each piece is made in small numbers using handwoven fabrics, plant colours, ecoprinting and shibori. The process is slow, and every result carries its own variations — shaped by the cloth, the plants, the dye and the season.
